블로고스피어 ( Blogosphere )

정의: (명사) 블로거들에 의해 공유되는 지적 공간을 일컬음. Blogland, Blogistan, Blogspace라고도 함.

부연설명: "블로고스피어 (blogosphere)"라는 표현은 그리스어원 로고스 (logos, 아래의 '유래' 참조)로부터 만들어진 신조어이다. 이 말이 유행어가 된 이유는 블로그 (blog)와 바이오스피어 (biosphere, 생물권)라는 단어를 합성했기 때문이다. 달리 말하자면 블로고스피어가 미디어 생태계로서의 웹로그의 본질을 정확히 잡아냈기 때문이다.

용례: "나 최근에 저 링크가 블로고스피어 여기저기서 튀어오르는 걸 봤어."

유래: 2002년 새해 첫날, 윌리엄 퀵에 의해서 처음 쓰여졌음.
